Announcing the Grand Opening...!

I am constantly amazed at how addicting this blogging world truly is!!  I was seriously giddy when I woke up this morning with anticipation of posting my first unit to TPT!!  I seriously crept out of bed {so as not to disturb my sweet sleeping hubby}and tiptoed ran to the living room to start up my trusty friend...Mr. Dell!!  So without further ado...I present to you my very first unit!  Below is a little snapshot of what you will receive when you make your purchase!

Silly Dilly Caterpilly!!

Hi sweet friends!!  I hope everyone had a fantabulous Christmas!!!  My hubby and I had a wonderful holiday celebrating with family and honoring the true reason of Christmas...Christ!!  I am ecstatic to announce that I have just completed my first product that will be posted on TPT for purchase first thing in the morning!  It is a whopping 40 page document that will help you track the progress of your little darlin's with their sight/dolch words all the while keeping them engaged and excited about reading!!  Included is directions for the activity, a parent letter, 12 lists to send home with students to practice along with flash cards for each list, a template for building a "silly dilly caterpilly" and a completion certificate for each student!  Here is a little preview of what is included in the unit.  I really hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed making it!!!  Make sure to check back tomorrow for a link to my grand opening of my TPT store!!!

What...A...Week...!

Wowzers!!  What a week that was and I am here to say that I don't think this coming week is going to be much better!  My little sweeties are literally bouncing off the walls with excitement!  We had a great week, however, studying our fun little friend...the gingerbread man!  We discussed compound words and used both of the activities I posted last week which they loved!  We also completed an awesome comparison activity where we discussed the differences between information we learned from the text and information we learned from the illustrations.  I used the book "Gingerbread Baby" by Jan Brett and it worked perfectly!  She is an especially awesome author to use because of her wonderful illustrations and the story that they can tell by themselves!  I will post some pics later today as well as the graphic organizer I used.  I will also be posting a ton this week on TPT including my Silly Dilly Caterpilly unit on Dolch/Sight words...so please be on the lookout!  I hope you all have a great last few days of school and to those who are already finished...I AM SOOOO JEALOUS!!!  I plan to continue thinking like the Little Engine That Could by telling myself....I think I can, I think I can!!! Toodles!!

Gingerbread Goodies...

Wow-wee!  I have been working my little brain away today on creating items to post very soon!!  I am seriously in love addicted to this blogging fun!!  Any who...I will be posting two freebies tomorrow (or possibly tonight) on compound words and gingerbread...keep your eyes open and please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.  I am new to all of this but I promise to continue posting bigger and better things.  Ok...I am off to create some more wonderful resources!!

Yay...I finally did it!!!

Oh my word...it finally happened!  I joined the world of blogging!!  Let me just tell y'all, I have been attempting to create a blog for over a year now!  Yes, that's right...a year!  Clearly, it has taken me a bit to figure out this amazing world but I finally did it and I feel such a sense of accomplishment...BIG for me!  I am currently working on uploading a bazillion files to here for FREE as well as to TPT...my fav store!  I would love if y'all would all follow me and I would love even more if you would let me know about your amazing blog.  I am seriously addicted to the blogger world...so much so that I occasionally neglect my sweetness of a husband...oops!  Can't wait to begin this journey!!
