Wowzers...Word Wall Packs!!

I am speechless!  You all are absolutely amazing!!  I have gotten such a great response to my word wall packs and I am over the moon excited!!  Currently I have a polka dot pack and a chevron pack uploaded.  I am also working on several custom orders for you all!  Please let me know if there is a particular print or color scheme you would like to see and I will be right on it!!  After reading through several comments, I have decided to include the pre-primer and third grade lists in any of my future packs.  I am also going to be making a supplemental pack for both the polka dot and chevron pack to include the pre-primer and third grade lists.

Here is a little sneek peek of my chevron pack that I just love...I can't seem to get enough of chevron!!

If you love the chevron pattern but the colors dont jive with your classroom decor, I would be more than happy to change them!

P.S. For a great assessment tool to accompany this pack, check out my "Silly Dilly Caterpilly" unit!

Thank you again for all of your sweet comments and feedback on these packs...You all are simply the best!!

Have a fantabulous day sweet friends!!

Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!

Ok friends...so I lied!!  I promised that I would be back last week with some goodies for you all and I didn't hold true to what I said.  Can you pretty please forgive me?!  I PROMISE I have a good reason...check out this sweetness of a reason below...

This is Miss Laney Lynn...I love her to pieces!!

As if that wasn't reason enough...check out my next three reasons!
Last week started with me having every intention on loading a bazillion cutesie ideas on this little ol' blog but ended up being filled with lots of lovin', hugs and kisses on these beautiful sweeties pictured above!!  My hubby and I spent 9 hours in the hospital on Tuesday with our best friends experiencing the amazing birth of their first precious little girl...Laney Lynn {how stinkin' cute is her name!!}.  The poor momma was 10 days late and spent 30 hours in labor...goodness gracious--bless her poor little heart!!  We then headed south to my sisters on Thursday to take care of her three little angels for the weekend while she took a much needed mommy break to visit a friend in California.  I have to say that I only spoiled these sweet girls a teensie little bit...ok I lied again...I spoiled them beyond belief!!  My hubby and I had the time of our lives playing mommy and daddy for the weekend!!  It made me want a family of my own even more {as if I wasn't already dying to have a baby!!}  So...with all that said, I hope you can forgive me for my absence!!

I did accomplish one little project for my classroom next year {Have I told you yet how stinkin' excited I am to have a brand spankin' new room next year?  I could seriously turn cartwheels!!}  I am a complete freak when it comes to things matching in my classroom and I still had yet to find a word wall set that matched my decor.  Therefore, I cooked up a little creativity and designed this cute little pack!!

As I have mentioned in previous posts, my classroom color scheme next year will be red, turquoise and green with accents of black and white polka dots!  These cards match my theme perfectly!!  I used the Dolch lists and included word cards for the primer, first grade and second grade lists.  Each list is color coded with the primer list introduced as a review, the first grade list used mid year and the second grade list used at the close of the year to prepare my lil' darlin's for the next year!  I am working on creating three more of these packs in various colors and designs...another polka dot pack but more colors, a chevron pack and a stripe pack!  I would be more than happy to create a pack for you that is specific to your classroom decor and I can even add in other dolch lists or words such as Fry words, color words, month, etc.  Just say the word and I am on it!

Next up...a Common Core checklist!  I am always worried that I haven't covered all of the standards at the close of the year, so I am working on a checklist that will have all of the standards listed, a place to write the lesson used to teach the standard and a place to write the date of when the standard was taught.  This way you can see what standards you have taught and when and which standards you still need to teach!  A quick little cheat sheet!!  I am also working on making additional products to coordinate with the word wall sets such as classroom labels, jobs, month and day cards and so much more!!

Until next time!!

End of the Year Fun!!

I want to start by apologizing!!!  I have been the worst blogger ever over the past month!  Let's just say that life has been a tid bit crazy...just take a look at the pic below!

Yep...that's right...that pile of a mess is my poor classroom boxed up in my basement!  Because I am moving to the new school in our district next year (Wahoo!!), I had to box up everything and move it to my basement until we can get into our new rooms.  Right now, we are looking at the first of August...two weeks before school starts!  I can already feel myself breaking out in hives just over the thought of it!!!

So between packing up my room, ending the year and everything else in between, my poor little ol' blog has been greatly neglected!  To make up for this terrible neglect, I will be posting a few times this week!  Today, I want to update you on the end of the year (we got out of school on May 18th---seriously!!!).  I am hoping and praying that by the middle of this week I will have some new goodies posted for you since I have also neglected doing that recently!!

Ok...let's get started!  First up, my student teacher gifts!  I was lucky enough to get a student teacher this year for the first time and had a blast with her!  It truly was a learning experience for both her and I.  I can't tell you how hard it is to turn your classroom and precious little one's over to someone else for a solid four weeks!  Take a peek at our gifts for her!
We decorated the matting with each student's thumb print and name...too cute!!

I bought her a few of my favorite things...cute paper, my fav book for the first day of school, a notepad, Flair Pens (a must have!) and a parent teacher store gift card (lord knows we all spend a fortune there!)

We also made her our Bucket Filler of the Week!!

We finished the day with ice-cream sundaes...YUM!!

Now onto Mothers Day...check out these adorable portraits that my lil' darlin's drew of their sweet mommy's!  First they illustrated their mom and then wrote adjectives describing her around the portrait.  I then had them choose a piece of scrapbook paper to use as the matting.  We laminated the illustration and threaded the top with ribbon for hanging...easy peasy lemon squeezy!!

{Here is an up close pic}

Last up...A few cutesy things I have bought for my classroom for next year...I am already super excited to decorate my new room!!
I found this darlin' tray at HomeGoods and had to have it!

My momma and I found this adorable rug at a little boutique while out shopping on Mother's Day...Love it!

One last pic to leave you with...My sweet hubby and I spent the last week in Myrtle Beach with his parents and sisters and their boyfriends!  So relaxing and so much fun!!!

I PROMISE to be back soon with a few goodies for you!  Have a blessed Sunday sweet friends!!
