Kinder Benchmarking!

Hi ya sweet friends!  Just wanted to pop in and leave ya with a little freebie.  We recently wrapped up our parent teacher conferences...all 48 of them!!  Let me just tell ya...this momma was plum tuckered out after that!  I'm pretty sure I did a lot of rambling in my whopping 10 minutes that I had with each parent but I have to say that this little packet made those 10 minutes much more intentional.
During each conference, I went over each assessment that my kiddos had taken so far this year...sight word progress, STAR data and my individual foundational skills (both ELA and math) assessment.
I also included a list of all of the skills that the students had at least been exposed to thus far this year...I made sure to emphasize that these were not skills that should be mastered as they would see them spiral back around throughout the year.  These were simply skills that had been introduced and were great talking points to use with their sweeties!
I created an individual benchmarking assessment to assess my kiddos on their foundational ELA and math skills...Letter Names (both lowercase and capital), Letter Sounds, Counting, Identifying and Writing their numbers to 20.  For any concept missed, I highlighted it so that myself and the parents were aware.

If you are interested, you can snatch up my benchmarking assessment for free in my store!  Just click here or on the pic below!
How do y'all run your conferences?!  I'd love to hear from ya!!

Small Group Staples 2...Phonics and Word Recognition!

Happy Sunday y'all!!  I don't know about y'all but I couldn't be more excited about this time of year!  I mean what's not to love about all things pumpkin and spice, cool breezes and amazingly beautiful changing leaves?!
Oh...and I have to mention that I *might* just be a tad bit excited about the fact that in less than 4 weeks, I will get to spend 3 glorious months at home with this sweet girl and her baby sister...I am simply over the moon!
Yesterday, while sitting with the windows open and feeling the cool breeze sift through our house, my sweet friend Abby and I spent the day putting the finishing touches on this fabulous resource!!
Abby and I are so stoked to release this unit!  It is our second in a series of resources that are made specifically for small groups with guided reading and RTI in mind.  It is jam packed with goodies for teaching all things phonics and sight words.  Check out the preview below...

This resource is set up very similar to our first pack...Small Group Staples:  Phonemic Awareness.  With this unit, we focused on the next level...phonics and word recognition.  you will find all that you need from lesson plans to exit slips and everything in between with a focus on the following standards...
Although the focus is on Kindergarten standards, this is a great resource to use for remediation with your first and second grade sweeties for differentiation and RTI!!  Below is a little sneak peek of all that is included...
Small Group Staples:  Phonics and Word Recognition is now posted in Abby's store...we'd love for you to check it out!!  It will be on sale for the next few days...who doesn't love a sale!!
Well, since I have less than 4 weeks before baby girl arrives, I guess I better get my booty in gear and get her nursery ready!!
Have a blessed Sunday sweet friends!!

Small Group Staples...Posted!!

Hi y'all!!  I couldn't be more excited right now than a five year old kid on Christmas!! My precious friend Abby and I have been feverishly working on the best resource ever for months now. We have chatted, brainstormed, created, edited and spent countless hours working to make it absolutely perfect!  And if I do say so myself, it is just that...perfect!!
So how did this all come to be, you might ask?  Abby and I have had MANY conversations centered around Small Group Time.  Scrambling every week to find resources that were engaging, meaningful and time efficient were an absolute must but so hard to find.  If you have ever taught half day kinder then you know how precious every second is...there seriously is not a minute to waste...especially during small group time.  And this is how Small Group Staples was amazingly fabulous resource that is seriously all inclusive...from start to finish!  We truly *hope* that you love it as much as we do!
Check out this *small* preview from our resource...

We tried so hard to think of and develop every component that you would need to lead an all-inclusive small group lesson for both Guided Reading and RTI.  We pray that this first unit in a SERIES makes your life a tad bit easier and helps you rest assured that your kiddos are learning and loving it!
Want to check it out more?  It will be on sale for the rest of the weekend by clicking  >>>>HERE<<<<
I hope you have a blessed Sunday sweet friends!  I am off to snuggle my sweet girl and enjoy a day celebrating my sister-n-law's upcoming wedding!
P.S. T minus 7 weeks and baby girl #2 will arrive...Momma is officially in panic mode!!

Show Me the Money...A Math Freebie!

Hi y'all!  Just wanted to stop in and leave ya with a freebie just posted to my store.  Each year, I work harder and harder to make my classroom rich in text so that my sweeties are easily able to access the resources that they need.  I decided that my poor, sad money anchor charts needed a major facelift.
Included in this freebie pack you will find money anchor charts in two color options...primary and bright colors.  Displayed on the charts are the name of the coin, the value of the coin and a poem.  Use these in your classroom to assist your little ones with remembering the names and values of coins.  I can't wait to put them up in my classroom...I hope y'all love them too!!
Note:  Author of each poem is unknown.  If you know the author please let me know so that I can give them credit!!
Still in denial that school starts back in less than two weeks...please tell me it isn't so!!!

A Big Announcement and a Freebie!!

So...there is a REALLY good reason that I have been completely non-existent from this little 'ol blog...
Let me just tell you that this precious surprise was in no way planned but we are over the moon excited and thankful to our Savior for this amazing miracle!!  Our sweet Tinleigh was a blessing to us that took a two year journey to get including many obstacles along the way (read more about it here).
So when God blessed us with our BIG surprise, we couldn't have been more thrilled!  Our two sweet girls will be 15 months apart and we absolutely can not wait to watch them grow to be best friends!
All I have to say is GOD IS GOOD!!
I'm making this post short and sweet because the hubby is on his way home from soccer and I have missed him terribly!  Between basketball camp and soccer try-outs, I have been a single mommy all week!
I did want to leave you with a little freebie that I put together tonight.  A simple editable newsletter that I hope makes the start to your school year a little less thing to worry about!  Simply choose a font of your choice and type within the text boxes!  Easy peasy!
Here's a peek at what my newsletter looks like...
Grab your editable copy here!
Enjoy sweet friends!  I'm scootin' off to eat some yummy, shaved ice treat that my love surprised me with (Hey...I'm preggers!  I'm allowed to have a cheat here and there!!) and enjoy some snuggle time with him!!
